We just received word from our obstetrican’s office that Gilly’s afp and cystic fibrosis screens came back negative. That means our baby has a very low risk of cystic fibrosis, spina bifida, Down syndrome, and several other birth defects. It also means that I don’t have to get tested to see if I’m a cystic fibrosis carrier. I HATE having my blood drawn, so this is definitely a win-win for me.
