Vegas baby!
January marked the baby’s first trip to Las Vegas. OK, so it was in utero, but I think it still counts. We saw the Cirque du Soleil LOVE show, which is the one with the Beatles music (many thanks to PJ and Daniel for the tickets). It was AWESOME! After the show, we met some fun people hanging out at the Revolution Lounge, a Sgt. Pepper/Austin Powers-themed nightclub based on the LOVE show (don’t worry, Gilly’s just holding that drink for me, not drinking it).
We managed to upgrade our room at the Mirage to a tower deluxe suite thanks to my successful implementation of the “$20 tip trick.” Gilly was very proud of me for having the courage to try it.

You may have noticed that the name of this site has changed. We like the name Arden, so we’re trying it on to see if it fits. We can’t guarantee that Arden will stick, but we’re getting closer to deciding…
The header is a scanned image of an actual dress that we purchased over the weekend. Gilly worked some Photoshop magic to format it for the site. Pretty cool!

Well, we just had our 20-week sonogram this afternoon, and the baby is officially a girl. Now we can start focusing on picking a name. The photo here is a profile of our daughter’s head. If you’re having trouble making out the details, imagine that the baby is lying on its back with the top of its head pointing to the right. You can make out the nose and lips and even the eye socket and ear once you get your bearings.

Almost forgot… her weight at the time of the sonogram today was 12 oz. According to our sonogram technician, that weight is “just right” for 20 weeks.
