Light at the end of the tunnel?

August 20, 2008 8:55 am

I almost hesitate to put this in writing for fear of jinxing it, but Arden has slept all the way through night for the last two nights in a row and three out of the last four nights. Those of you who know us well are probably aware that night waking is one of the few struggles that we’ve had to endure with Arden. Being able to enjoy a full night’s sleep on a regular basis would be so fantastic, I can’t even put it into words.

So, keep your fingers crossed that sleeping through the night becomes a regular occurrence for her. We’ll all be better for it.

Arden may have been caught, twice now, saying “thank you”; once to Penn, and once at daycare.

That’s another first for the  month we can get behind!

Now if we can just keep her from throwing her food…

August: Full of Firsts

August 12, 2008 8:49 pm

August has just started and already it’s full of firsts!

Arden got her first haircut (really just a trim). Penn wasn’t sure about letting Gilly take the first crack at Arden’s golden locks so we went to a kid’s salon where she got to sit in a car-shaped barber’s chair and get her first “do”.

This month also marked Arden’s first ride in her car seat facing forward! She seemed to find the whole thing a little funny, laughing and pointing, but we’re sure she’ll get used to it quickly.

*New pics up for August too.
