Welcome Baby Boy!

He was born at the San Ramon Family Birthing Center after 12 hours of drug-free contractions and a few pushes. Gilly was a machine!

Ready to Pop

So we are rapidly approaching the arrival of our new baby boy. Gilly is pretty good at being pregnant but she’s ready to pop. Yes, we are planning the same type of drug free delivery as we had with Arden, but we’ll just have to see what this little one has up his sleeve.

CSA Season!
June 5, 2009 12:57 pmWe picked up our first haul for our Terra Bella Farms half share CSA for the season today!
CSA stands for Community Supported Agriculture. That means we pre-buy a share of the farm’s harvest for the season which helps the local farmer and promises us healthy, locally grown organic food for the season. We bought a half share so we pick up every other week June through October. We are excited to visit the farm throughout the season and hope this will expand our horizons when it comes to the produce we eat (like what the heck to do with a bunch of scapes). Kale should be a fun experiment this week too!
If you come for a visit during the season, look forward to eating some locally grown produce with us.
Arden enjoyed the chickens and we look forward to seeing the baby goats they are getting in July!
Welcome June!

- Arden says “hold you” when she wants to be held (rather than hold me).
- She loves singing! She sings along to her CD’s in the car, her Puff the Magic Dragon book, twinkle twinkle little star (and the ABC’s) and will happily sing happy birthday to anyone and everyone including the dog.
- When she wants a ride on your shoulders she may ask you for a “ride like a hat”.
- Arden enjoys trips to the park and loves watering the tomato plant and carrots we planted on the patio.
- She knows most of the major colors: red, blue, yellow, green, orange, purple, pink, black, white, and brown.
